Catching Up

We had a very busy weekend at our house. I really didn't even have time to work on blogging at all. I'm not sure I even opened it up!

It started Friday morning. Grace had her speech meet at her school. She was SO nervous! She must have practiced it a hundred times.

I think I was as nervous as she was but she did great. I was so proud of her for getting up there in front of all those people.

Then later that evening we headed back to the school for a sleepover with Grace's cheer team. I volunteered to stay the night with the girls. Crazy me!!!

My dear friend Ashley and our friends daughter getting her hair done.
Grace and her friend Aubri working on a craft.
The whole gang all dolled up.
Our silly girls.

The girls had fun. We painted nails, did hair and makeup, made a craft, watched movies and ate pizza and popcorn.

I only got 5 hours of sleep but, was glad that I got that much. It was better than I thought I would get.  The hardest part of the weekend was the time change. Ouch! I just hate it. Why do we have to have a time change?? So I am still trying to catch up.

Then Saturday afternoon Trey had his first soccer game of the season. He started practice several weeks ago and was very excited about playing a game.

He scored 2 goals and his team won 15 to 2. He is finally getting the hang of it this year and has figured it out most of the rules.

So that's what we have been up to. I am caught up. Now if I could just catch up on all the house work I need to do. lol

  1. Grace looks so big. And a public speaker. Wonderful! Trey looks quite the athlete.

  2. Yep you guys were busy, doing great stuff though.

  3. So this is how you know Ashley. :)
Why is it that everyone is feeling so crazed right now?!

  4. What a busy week. Filled with fun times with happy kids...what could be better???!

  5. we did the same thing on saturday... soccer game!

  6. You didn't tell us what Grace did her speech on! Looks like the girls had a grea time, but are you insane volunteering for that?
You got some great action shots of Trey. I love the one with his leg all kicked up in the air. Awesome!

    Justine :o )

  7. You where a busy lady! The sleepover looked like fun. God bless you for staying~ :P

  8. go Trey! and way to go Grace, when did they start speech meets in elementary school???

  9. What a great weekend! Life with 3 kids certainly gets hectic - and our toddlers don't have a life yet! Great pictures, as usual.

  10. These kinds of activities are definetely a very good excuse for some dealys with other "duties"!

  12. Oh, dear :)) You really have had a girl energy around you. But as you said, it`s all fun and important and - - - tiring.
I had only one small girl with me, but she is 1year and 7 months and I am 66 years, so she has energy enough for tiring me during a weekend :)
Her parents were spending their anniversary.
But we had so fun together with this lovely Melli ( Melissa , my youngest granddaughter). Did I tell you, I have four granddaughters and one grandson. They are 13,12,11,almost 10. Two of them belongs to my son and two to my older daughter and then Melli`s mom is my younger daughter.
These children are often with us during their holidays and I go their homes always, when I am needed.
It`s wonderful, that you do this blog about your family, I think your children appreciate it as older very much.
    Have a happy day, Michelle.

  13. Looks like fun times but super busy times, too! I can see why you'd like that extra hour back. I would, too.

  14. I'm glad she did really well with her speech. She was nervous for nothing. =)

I'm glad you survived the sleepover! Ugh! I know the girls had a lot of fun.

Leave me a comment. Please, pretty please. :)
